Tracking was originally part of AKC Obedience as an exercise in the Utility class (1936-1946), and became a stand-alone sport in 1947. \u00a0The purpose of the ABMC Tracking Hall of Fame is to recognize dogs who have attained outstanding achievements in the sport of AKC Tracking.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tracking Hall of Fame requirements:<\/p>\n

To \u00a0be inducted into the ABMC Herding Hall of Fame a dog must earn<\/span>\u00a0a tracking championship (CT) from the American Kennel Club. \u00a0
In addition:<\/span>
1.\u00a0The owner of the dog must be a member of the ABMC, or have been a member of ABMC during the time the dog was being exhibited.
2. Copies of the title certificates validating the dog\u2019s achievements must be submitted.
3. A copy of the dog\u2019s AKC registration papers must be submitted.
4. A photograph of the dog must be submitted.
5. After<\/strong> the HOF chair has verified that all the above requirements have been met, a Jotform HOF application for the dog must also be submitted. \u00a0The HOF chair will either complete the Jotform themselves, or provide that URL for the owner to complete.<\/p>\n\n\n

Inductions into the Halls of Fame are made at the National Specialty occurring in the calendar year following<\/strong> the year the qualifying title was earned and retroactive applications based on the qualifying title being earned in a previous year are also accepted.  The application, requested materials, and Jotform must all be received by February 1st  in order for the dog to be inducted at that calendar year’s  National Specialty.
