For Belgian Malinois, the AKC awards the Dual Champion (DC) prefix title to dogs who have been award both Conformation (CH) and Herding (HC) championships, as herding is heritage sport for Malinois.  (The AKC Herding program began June 13, 1989.)  The DC title is derived, replacing both the CH and HC in a dog’s registered name; if a dog has been awarded a Grand Championship that is listed before the DC prefix title.  Should a  Dual Champion Malinois earn a third prefix championship title in either Obedience (OTCH), Agility (MACH or PACH), or Tracking (CT), their DC title is automatically replaced with the derived Triple Champion<\/a> (TC) title. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To date the AKC has only awarded fifteen Dual Championships to Belgian Malinois. In recognition of our breed\u2019s history, each of those dogs is listed below. \u00a0The American Belgian Malinois Club salutes these dogs and their owners.
