Canine Ambassadors

Club members in good standing with an AKC affiliated club can become AKC Canine Ambassadors with a recommendation from an officer of the club and completing the AKC’s requirements (Canine Ambassador Training, Canine Ambassador Training quiz, and making at least one visit annually and log it on the provided form). Canine Ambassadors can provide educational presentations to children in schools and in other venues.

As they will be representing their club, ABMC has established the following requirements before a member will be considered for a recommendation by the BOD:
• An applicant must be a member of ABMC for at least 10 years
• The applicant must have at least 10 years of experience in the breed
• The applicant must submit a reference from another club member for that can attest to your involvement in dogs and/or sports and the temperament of the dog
• Must complete Canine Ambassador Training (provided by AKC once applied)
• Must submit a log of activities
• Dogs that take part in the AKC Canine Ambassador Program must be CGC certified
